The comments on my last posting prompted me to put together the first draft of my presentation for 8823 and make it accessible at www.runward.com/flash/flash.htm (ignore some of the missing features if you check it out now...I'm planning to get back to those before the end of this week but have paper revisions to finish first). I was very excited because Sarah checked it out and got herself and her 7 year old going with Flash using SWiSH. I will now have to recommend SWiSH for the every-user because it seems to be much more self-explanatory than Adobe (in my experience). I've been playing with Actionscipt; so, I am still on Adobe. I was happy that what I had put together was useful to someone else. S0, thanks Sarah.
Besides talking to Sarah about Flash and Liz about our project for another class on Skype, I've also had several good conversations with Pamela and Kent. It is working well to say "hi" to classmates even with the timezone difference although I believe the experience would be even better if I was on at the same time as more classmates more frequently.
I also started playing with some of the extras. I tried the whiteboard meeting and the voice stress analysis. It took me a bit to figure out how to get multiple people on the whiteboard, but then it worked quite well. I was using it for passing notes with my husband. I couldn't get the voice stress analysis to run properly though. It kept erroring. Looks like there are lots of other fun extras to try playing with though.

I love the Swish. I am ordering the entire bundle. And guess what the neighbor down the street is getting it tooo! Thanks again for a great resource.

Ok now you have my curiosity about SWISH. I'm going to check out your site on www.runward.com/flash/flash.htm and then check into SWISH to see what I am missing. I'm wondering if there is any site that I can go to and order up a few extra hours for each day so I can check out all of the new tools that I am finding out about - 24 hours in a day is just not enough.

It took a very long time to create it. I'll redo it when the front end is finished. Sound was an issue and I'll fix that also. We should be in the high 40s and 50s this coming week. Maybe Spring is finally here.
